Dr Cath Becker is a Fellow of Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. She is an experienced GP with a special interest in skin cancer. She attained a Masters of Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland in 2019 and is an accredited skin cancer doctor. She belongs to New Zealand Skin Cancer Doctors and the Australasia Skin Cancer College.

Dr Cath believes the identification and treatment of skin cancer - alongside education on skin cancer prevention - is her true passion and work's purpose.​

Dr Lynette Cherry is an experienced General Practitioner currently working in Martinborough. Lynette is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Lynette has a special interest in skin cancer and has trained in dermoscopy. She is available for skin checks and consultations. Lynette brings years of experience and knowledge to our clinic. Lynette works at both our Masterton and Greytown clinic. ​

Dr Uma has come to us from Masterton Medical, where he shares his time working there as a General Practitioner, and working at our clinic. Uma completed his training in Delhi prior to moving to Singapore to further his training, before joining the clinic here in 2021. 

Uma has a special interest in skin cancer and surgery, with a passion for providing high standard care, and continuously advancing his knowledge. He is an accredited skin cancer doctor and belongs to the Australasia Skin Cancer College. ​​​

Dr Tom Becker is our Registrar Doctor. Tom has worked in hospitals specialising in General Medicine around New Zealand for the last six years, and has returned home to settle into his new role. Tom has completed his Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy and has ambitions to further his interest of skin cancer medicine.

Tom also happens to be Dr Cath Becker's son - training in skin cancer runs in the family!

Dr Fred Maes, originally from Belgium, graduated from the University of Leuven in 2004. Moving to New Zealand in 2007, Fred is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practice and a member of the Australasia Skin Cancer College.  Skin cancer diagnosis and treatment is the key focus of his career.

Fred's work currently sees him working between our Five Rivers Health Clinic in Greytown and the Hutt Hospital in dermatology and plastic surgery departments. 

Janet has been with Wairarapa Skin Clinic since its inception. She has years of experience in assisting minor surgery, and brings a calm steadiness to her work. Janet does full body skin checks, spot checks, cryotherapy treatment, skin tag removal and minor surgery.

Janet is an integral part of the team making sure all our patients have top level care.​​​​​​​

 

Merryn is a New Zealand Registered Nurse that has worked in skin cancer medicine for the past 20 years. Merryn's main work will be in detection and education on skin cancer, with her skills also lending to aid in minor surgery assistance and biopsies. 

After 15 years of commuting to work in Wellington clinics from Greytown, both the clinic and Merryn are thrilled to have her join our Masterton and Greytown clinics.

Mary is our minor surgery and aftercare nurse.  She ensures the smooth running of the surgery clinics and provides top level care to all our patients.

Clinic manager Ange and Receptionist Lana make up the friendly, efficient and professional admin team. We are always happy to help with any enquires you have.

Marilyn keeps our clinic looking immaculate, sterilises all our instruments and keeps the surgeries well stocked with everything we need.
